RoboCop review

Paul Verhoeven's "RoboCop" is a picture that successfully mixes light and dark tones to create an enjoyable piece of art, with its clever satire, bone-jarring action, and forceful science fiction. (blog post) Although they give the picture its identity, and make it a compelling genre spectacle, lighter tone shifts can also limit its effectiveness.
